Pete, that takes some exlarge eggs as stands go, nice earring stand too and well presented with earrings too, that's alot for a first re-turn, so go easy.

Yes i did. Make the holes a bit big lol. I thought i had the right size but got it wrong

How David could tell the holes were too big from a photo I've no idea, but well spotted and I like the solution.

The Ear-ring stand is a bit chunky compared to those you normally see, but it works, so well done for stepping away from the curves most of us turn.

No rocket science, just a keen eye for detail, given the whole piece, they looked to big.

How David could tell the holes were too big from a photo I've no idea, but well spotted and I like the solution.

Well done for getting back to the lathe.
I sliced down my thumb on a circular saw 3 years ago and know how frustrating it is, I was getting withdrawal symptoms after 6 weeks of no turning.
