Hi Mark. Thank you for that extremely informative reply. I will certainly look closely at these logs and cut them accordingly, and follow your advice. Thankw too to the others that have posted comments/advice. That's one thing I like about the woodturnijg community, advice is always given freely. Although I have been turning for many years, 99% of what I have done has been with seasoned woods and many pieces in the last couple of years has been segmented work with many different timbers. Wet turning is new to me. Thanks again to you all. Malcolm.
