George, it looks a little better in real life but unless you're looking for a yellow something as a statement!, I agree other than as an experiment, it's not a colour I'd use on it's own deliberately.
David, as it's a little smaller I won't post a pic of the 3 together but the strength of the yellow enables it to hold it's own. It does not sit well against a pale background (magnolia walls) but against the dark wooden shelves I dry my pieces on, it looks quite good.

Ken, I'd love some burr in the maple, all I seem to get is straight trunk, so the addition of colour enables me to enliven it and pop the grain in a different way.
