Hello,

This is my second image post. It was however completed a couple of years ago. I still have it.  210 mm x 150 mm

The rim is undercut.

Thanks for looking! Comments and criticism welcome!

Hi Robert....I like the simplicity of the shape of this piece of turning. I always feel that if the grain is this interesting, the shape should be less of a feature (and vice versa), but this, of course, doesn't have to mean that the shape can be ignored or that the beauty of the grain will carry an awkward shape. This piece scores for me on both fronts - the grain is amazing and the shape is subtle and pleasing.
Interesting colour, though, what finish is on it?

Robert,

I like the natural beauty that shows through this piece.

I also note you finished it a couple of years ago, but maybe a wipe over with an oil to pop the grain would not go amiss if it does not affect the existing finish.

Hi Robert

This is a good honest piece.

What I mean by this is the piece is simple in form and pure in its statement. It has lots of character shown through its simplicity.

I note that you ask for Comments and 'Criticism', my only comment is keep posting your work.
