Goblets are one of my best sellers and I am running out so in between some more mundane commissions today I did these two. The one on the left is walnut and cedar the one on the right walnut and tulip wood. They are roughly 8" tall and coated inside for use.

Pete, I like the walnut figure in the left one an it's a beautiful flowing line in the other one, not a full tulip cup though, but both are stunning,

Thank you.   David

Pete,

I think I would have preferred the bead in the left hand one a little more curved, otherwise I agree fully with David's summing up.

It's the right-hand one for me....the way that the stem blends into the base of the cup with just that minimal line to delineate them. Perfect elegance!

One question; a few months after turning, can you feel the joint line between the two timbers due to variations in the rate of expansion/contraction of the different timbers?
