Thank you both so far for an answer, so it likely to be Grecian, Bay Laurel or just plain common.
What to do with it, it's a big odd shape to maybe make a single piece, it look to have two faults from two side and the heart without checking further could have some decay, some nice figure and spalt too, work out the flat sides, could yield a pair or more of natural edged bowls, size it down an a large platter and some bowls, or a shed load of pen blanks ..
