More me than Diane, all she did was paintin'. We made the plinth although abstract with a bit of realism in it to try and capture the image of the piece.

Well done on yet another excellent piece, it looks like Ison has hit home.. it has the look and texture of a composite not known by man .. nice ripple to the plinth.
Cheers David

hi david and john
thank you for your comments much appreciated.
this started as a continuation to the themed pieces, stone bronze iron age
it did not look right on a natural plinth, so we decided on a more modern
take. finished up with meteor moon collision. but! we could be wrong.
regards tony.

A very clever use for a natural edge burr. I'd love a close up of the centre detail - pretty please.

Tony,
I really like the juxtaposition of the meteorite effect with the metallic insert, I can almost see it landing on Earth after eon's in space and being found and scientists being totally confounded.
Wonderful effect, thank you for the close up.
