« on: December 30, 2013, 08:43:24 PM »
Hi All

I won't be posting everything that I do but I took on board your comments and this is my second attempt, I sharpen the gouge fro the final cut still left with a few marks I guess I'll get rid of them with a bit more practice.

This one it a little bit of yew it's still wet but it was good to have a play with. Size 90mm x 60mm

I'll look forward to any more tips

Thanks

Ed

Nice one, Ed. The difference is easy to see. The shape is becoming more pleasing and there are far fewer tool and sanding marks.
Keep at it.

Hi Ed,
Better finish and no heat checks, well done. Keep them coming.

As said far better in shape and finish.

Another tip.

I like the reverse of the curve but where you do that try to maintain a definite and sharp line, even through the sanding. It then shows as a design effect better.
