I got lost on the football theme,but just liked the shape and the 2 spheres(couldn`t bring myself to say 2 b----) ,was the centre piece turned as well or shaped off the lathe,nice off the wall piece,cheers,

Yes Eric, the centre piece is turned, with two shark jaws from Vicmarc and the assistance of the tailstock.
Sure, a bit of sanding must be. Not so easy but it works.
