My contribution to the wearing of a black ribbon in remembrance of tragedies. I have been inspired by those killed in Kiev, Ukraine demanding freedom from a repressive and corrupt regime.

8 5/8' x 5 1/2'

black stain, pyrography, and hand carving

 c & c welcome!!

Hi Robert, I like the detail and work which you've put into this piece and it's representation. It is sad that at this moment that part of the World is suffering tyranny as pawns for the sake of power a game.

It is hoped around the World, All can find Independence.

I'd never get the idea of the black ribbons without your explanation but once known and seen, the meaning becomes obvious.

A very interesting take on the visualisation of a poignant aspect of the current affairs of our small world.
