Not quite as small as Eric's.

Turned from wood out of the scrap bin using a 1/4" spindle gouge and a 1/2" skew

Derek, good to see you getting in there and having a go, nothing better, two nice little detailed forms, you've got the scales right for the size, push next for the captive ring... I do like the lower one.

its the way to start,I couldn`t get the pics to go bigger,(old pc probably not up to it),from what I can see they look good,cheers,

Derek,

I hope you don't mind I've reworked your pictures to a more manageable size for viewing.

You've done real well for the size of the work and the curves of the stand are a smashing Ogee shape.
