Disposable Gloves
« on: May 11, 2014, 10:58:41 PM »
I've discovered that Disposable Gloves are available in Vinyl, Latex and Nitrile.

I  know that some people are allergic to Latex.

I've  heard it said that Nitrile are more hard-wearing - but they cost around twice the price of Latex or Vinyl.

Can anybody set out the Pros and Cons of each sort of glove, please?

Very many thanks

MC

Nitrile gloves are harder wearing and are more resistant to chemicals.

I use them all the time for any finishing product (Sanding Sealer, oils, colours etc.)

£1 a pack of 10 from the cheepy shops or there is a shop around here called 'Propper job' that sells boxes of 100 for £3:50 for the vinyal & Nitrile, the Latex are slightly more expensive.

So look around, you can get them at an affordable price.

Sorry, here is North Somerset, the Weston-super-Mare area.

Driving from Hertfordshire would  make the purchase of a box somewhat uneconomic!

But thanks anyway.

Thank you

I  have now purchased a box of nitrile gloves at £6.00 for 100 from Euro Car Parts.

That's substantially cheaper than Screwfix

Very many thanks for the suggestion
