Rod, from the picture it is very deceptive as to the inner form, will go as far to say it's nicely undercut and the drop to the rim, nice figure to the beech and well finished.

Hi Rod....it really is a tricky form to see from the picture alone, but after a while I think that I can see it properly. The way that you've reduced the opening to the bowl and given a wide rim is a great way of showing the grain to its best advantage - it's always a shame when beautiful grain is lost by a bowl full of fruit/whatever. A good idea.

Thanks for your comments. I've just posted a similar bowl along the same design and hope you can see the inner form etc more clearly

from your other post I can see what your shape is is although the photo looks a little washed out.

I don't think that the picture does justice to this piece, looking at the other piece. Again the wood and the finish looks first class :)

looks good,I like the rim and underct bowl,had to blink to adjust the old eyes to see the detail though haha,cheers,
