I hate it when people post pieces like this. I will now spend ages figuring out whether the beads were done off the lathe with a router or on by some clever means LOL. very different to what we usually expect from your workshop George, just as good as the rest though. Kudos for getting all those beads in ash without any splintering.

Thank you Pete they were done on the lathe with the Ashley Isles beading tool.

I think you've got it absolutly right, the longditudinal beads but only over part of the form, adds a terrific amount of interest.
