Out of the 3 George we like this one...... The grain on the beads give it a very Effective Woven Effect.

Hi George,
I like all of the Beaded Bowls but this one is my favourite I have one these beading tools two questions, about what speed do you turn the beads at ? I know this is difficult to say because the change in diameter varies the speed at which the wood passes the tool tip, do you use the tool trailing?
                        Regards John

Thank you all for your comments they are very much appreciated.
Hi John I use the Ashley Isles beading tools at a high speed.I start with the tool handle low and raise it as I complete the bead.

I missed this yesterday when I commented on the other beaded bowl, but spotted it this morning. It's a belter!

For me, George, there are multiple reasons...
  • I prefer the colour contrast of this one
  • nicer proportions on this one
  • this one is possibly more functional - I can imagine people being concerned about keeping the textured area  of the other bowl clean, were it to be used for fruit etc

Thank you les.
All interesting and good reasons thank you.
I think you are probably right about the beading on the small bowl very difficult to keep clean.
