Silver Birch Bowl

Again I cut this wood myself in February, I turned two part turned bowls and sealed them and left them to dry. I could not believe how wet this wood was when I part turned it, the sleeve of my turning smock was soaked through. I left the walls about 25mm thick before I finished turned it.

Well worth the effort, I'd say....a lovely clean bowl.

p.s. ...with that name, I'm guessing that there's a Welsh connection!

Very nicely turned, the shape flows well and the added detail of the Knot gives it a little lift.
