Three Turnings
« on: July 19, 2015, 07:14:07 PM »
I managed to get into the shed for a good days turning, well good for me. C & C always welcome

1st is a Walnut bowl about 6 1/2" X 2", I found this piece of walnut in my wood pile. Finished with sander sealer and woodwax22.

2 nd a red and white pen from the other blank that I cast this is a Streamline kit in Chrome

3rd Another pen this time a Lock and Load in gold with a camouflage blank

Thank you both.

Walnut and Yew are top of my list. This piece just intrigued me with the very dark wood right across to the spalted part, and I am pleased that I managed to get all of it in

That's a really nice piece of Walnut, nice form & finish.

The contrasting color run giving a Raspberry ripple effect on the streamline is stunning. As with the Camo on the lock & load, would suit Help for Heroes with turn a pen.

Cheers for sharing.  David

Thank you David I have already donated some pens to Pens for Hero's. The pens are then past on to Horseback UK and Blind veterans to name two of them, which they sell and raise money for their respective causes

Everything about the Walnut bowl is right.

the pens, I'm sure they are great but not something I've ever been enthralled with - it's a personal thing.
