Sounds like a good deal to me.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

My best-buy to date, was my first foray into timber buying, was a batch of well over 200 pieces for £200. There was 8 pieces of Thuya burr, plus twenty other assorted pieces of Australian burrs, a huge disc of elm burr, lumps of blackwood, boxwood, and every other wood imaginable. Also thrown in was a box full of stains and finishes, and a box full of project kits and parts......and I had to take a trailer with me to load all the laburnum logs that got thrown in, as well - they'd been indoors for 10 years!

I don't expect ever to do any better than that.

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.
