December turning
« on: December 31, 2015, 02:25:27 PM »
Hello,
I made these for our Club (Chelmer Valley) Christmas Competion.
The light coloured one is Yew and 400mm (16in) tall. This won the decorated turning class.
The second one was not entered but was in reserve. The stem is black bean the rest is black walnut 360mm (14in) tall
C&C welcome
John

John,

I can see why you won, I love long thin stems and these certainly fit that bill, not withstanding all the rest of the work you've put into them.

How on earth did you hollow and then pierce the stem of the left hand one?
Oh Lord, Lead me not into temptation…

...Oh who am I kidding, follow me, I know a shortcut!
