Beech hollow vessel

A recently completed hollow vessel made from spalted Beech , with a bit of Burr ( approx 12-13 " tall )   probably my favourite type of vessel with the flared natural edge to the neck , not easy to do all the hollowing  through such an opening but I feel it is worthwhile for the end result

Terry,

at 12" to 13" high, your control of your hollower reaching in that depth must be amazing, on rattle and it would be all over.

But it looks beautiful.

I really like the contrast between the textures on the rim and the cleaner lines of the main form. It's a beaut!

Like this, well I would it's got a hole in it LOL. Seriously it is a lovely piece and as said hollowing through that neck takes care and skill.

this piece is absolutely smashing,I love the natural edge on the rim of the vase.
