A couple of bowls from sis`s burner woodpile

A couple of bowls made from wood that was in my sis`s woodburner logpile,just a before and after pic of each bowl,cheers,Eric.

Obviously a man after my own heart, have a go at turning pretty much any wood. I would have turned the bowl out more on the first one I think, looks like you have enough wood there, perhaps did a little rimaround it to define it as well?

Eric,

they are both beautiful in their own way. I do thing the 3 fingered one could have had a little more bowl about it but I cannot see the amount of wood thickness you had to work with so maybe that's all you could do.

Looking at the last picture, you might have picked off the last of the bark and at least brushed (a nail brush works well) the natural edge.

Hi Brian,could go any bigger/deeper with the bowl on the three fingered one or the thickness come to that,as it started making an awful lot of noise and I didn`t want the finger nearest the hole in the edge coming off at me,the other one my sis wanted as much bark as possible kept on so left it as to her wishes,as its for her,cheers,
