I like this The orange does stand out nicely against the black. I agree with your thoughts on tilting the bowl at an angle .

I wanted to use what I already had and turning down a dozen small studs out of pen blank did not take long

George,

As ever you've looked beyond our sphere of wood turning and found another source of inspiration and then rendered it with your normal aplomb.

The orange stands out so strong but somehow does not cause any detraction from the work. Very clever application of colour.
