turned item inspired by Max brosi.
« on: June 17, 2016, 11:31:14 PM »
a few months ago I was inspired by Max's turned items so had to have a go at one of them. I have decided to ad my slant on it and frame it in a little turned frame. the main centre is turned 6 times to get the finished part. all comments welcome.

I can see the appeal in this. The frame to suspend the form in adds a new dimension to the tubular form developed by Max. I'd like to think it moves slightly in response to any breeze or vibration, giving it a kinetic effect beyond the visual appeal.

Opens up all sorts of possibilities. If you used a gimbal system you could have it moving in three dimensions. On a stand it would make an unusual mobile art form.
