Yew Hollow Form

Yew hollow form 340mm x 250mm finished with CA and buffed not one bit of paint or stain anywhere near it :)

A lovely vase Ed, nice shape and some great grain and well turned

Would also add (having looked at it some more) that the edges around the inclusions are very crisp....not easy to achieve on such a piece of yew.....nicely done Ed.

By carpenters Yew is considered a 200% wastage wood, twice as much is thrown away as is used. Silly bu88ers, should leave it to us to make wonderful things like this.

as a joiner/carpenter bryan i can tell you that i don't think that is the case anymore mate.

it's been nearly 15 years since i got into the business and i've not heard that saying before.
