« on: October 12, 2016, 05:58:13 PM »
Hi all

Been a while since I posted anything, been chasing work around and snowed under. These pieces I recently finished for Wizardy in Wood and are currently being exhibited there. if you get chance to go well worth it amazing work on display.

1st  is around 6 inch dia, sycamore, textured, coloured with artist acrylic paint, with sterling silver bead.

2nd 6 inch dia, textured and pierced, coloured with spirit stains, acrylic paints, gold leaf, and bamboo final.

3 rd 6 inch dia, textured, coloured with spirit stains and verdigris wax, bamboo finial and copper wire.

Like Ed I am not sure which I like most, 2nd one is a strong contender though. We are going up there tomorrow so look forward to seeing these and some of the other pieces.

Mark, all three are stunning as usual, like the other guys I'm undecided on my favourite. I've enlarged all photo's several times each and still not sure so I'll have to make my decision when I come all the way down for Saturday.

Best Regards  Gary

Mark, the patterning/texturing designs on all three pieces is original and effective. It goes without saying the forms are all superb.....excellent and inspiring in all respects. Just wish I was able to make the exhibition. Cheers Rick

Each of these three pieces is instantly recognisable as a Sanger...but it's the third piece that sings to me. Mark, it is always a pleasure to view your work.

All as gorgeous as ever.  Love the featheriness and colouring of the second one.

Mark,

having handled these as part worked at the club night, I am very pleased to see you finished them in time for the show, I hope that they are getting plenty of attention.

I wondered how the (first pic) bowl would finish up, when I saw the segmented areas drawn in and the first 2 sections worked. I have to say, of the 3 it's my favorite, just for it total difference.

Oh Lord, Lead me not into temptation…

...Oh who am I kidding, follow me, I know a shortcut!

Mark, these pieces looked so much better in real life, at the wizardry do dar thingie, the photographs don't do them justice.
