What a great way to show respect....I like the slightly somber feel to the poppies, very fitting.

Like this a lot, the shape, the pyri texturing and the poppy as well as the idea behind it. One of your best IMHO.

Ed,

I think you've take the art of texturing and pyrography to heart, you've certainly brought them together and achieved something of beauty.

The sombre colours have been noted, but I see the texture work reminiscent of the torn up ground of the WWI battlefields with the poppies being the first plant to re-occupy the ground.

As an ex-serviceman, I find it very emotive, especially at this time of year, so thank you for showing such a wonderful piece.

Like this one too.  I prefer the texturing on this one, it seems to have more of an overall planned vision to it.
