Hi,
Being based in Ireland I rarely see in "person" items that are posted on this forum or that appear in the Woodturning magazine.
However at the end of October this year while attending the Irish Woodturners Guild National Seminar one of the first pieces I noticed in the gallery was bowls that I guessed were by Paul Hannaby. I'm sure everyone remembers the one with the classic shape and the colour and texture outside.
Well I can say after seeing them that none of the photos ever did them justice. The colour was amazingly vibrant and almost seemed to be internally illuminated and even from a distance the finish was impeccable.
I had hoped to find him introduce myself to Paul but I was indisposed and never got the chance.
