Embellished fruit bowl
« on: March 03, 2017, 01:40:25 PM »
This is sap wood from a piece of red conker so I thought i'd lift it with a bit of decoration. The piece is 12 x 3 shellac and wax finish with iridescent accents.

 C and c welcome.
regards Tony

That's really lovely, the tree is gorgeous. In case you can't tell, I like this a lot.

The decoration certainly lifts this piece into another league....it's crisp and clean and that tree is amazing.

The effect I'm getting from the tree is lit by moonlight.

Effective work, well done.

Thank you all for your kind comments. Overall i'm pleased with how it turned out as the temptation to over work it with colour could well have spoilt the look of the piece

thanks again
