Dave Atkinson:
Hi Thanks for the feedback Sheldon.  In the end I decided it was too much hassle so scrapped it and made room for a big bench and now I use an old fashioned plane when I need to.

Thanks for replying

Dave

Dave I have one of these planers, and I had a load of problems with the chain. I eventually took the jockey wheel off and took a link out of the chain and it works well now.
Consequently I have the jockey wheel sitting in the top of the tool box.
You could try what I did or I wll post a picture of it tomorrow.
PM me if it will help, a postal address will help there

Hi ron

THank you for your kind offer but I don;t have the machine any more.  I scrapped it and used teh space for something more useful - a large and very solid workbench.

Cheers Dave

Deano:

Deano
