A little hollow form

I knocked this up earlier,made from very spalted Cherry,53 mm tall,45 mm wide,coated with teak oil with red dye in it,sanded smooth when dried,then waxed.

The finish gives it a very rustic appearance, was it turned for a reason?

For some reason I see it set into a county fair in a flower arrangement competition.

Bryan,I just wanted to see if I could hollow it without it disnitigrating,nearly didn`t if you look closely at the pic with the sort of round dot of spalting,you can see the tearout from the inside of it showing,I`m really surprized it didn`t go bang,or pop in this case as its so tiny haha.
