CherryWood Pot
« on: March 24, 2017, 05:03:54 PM »
I had a large lump of Cherrywood lurking behind my workshop, and thought it would make a good pot/vase,endgrain turned, and very wet, even after 15 months after felling, turned down to around 3/8" thickness,10 1/2" high and 11 1/4" wide, reverse turned to adjust/make a foot, abraded to 600 grit then waxed with Mansion wax, nothing fancy just a nice pot/vase,that will make a nice gift for my little brothers 60th birthday this year.

Eric, That little bit of bark adds so much more to the vase, a strong point of interest.
