And another in my no sanding series

This is turned from Sycamore which has been pierced and pyro textured and burnt inside and out.

This piece is 200mm tall and 250mm in diameter

I saw this piece elsewhere, and commented on it, but have viewed it again several times. It has a look of cast iron to it and I imagine that whilst it appears heavy, it must be a shock to pick it up, as it's clearly going to be quite light. I'll bet that the burning process had to be well controlled to avoid cracking!
Nice one, Ed. ... Les

Well turned and burnt Ed, it's a 9 out of 10 for me and it would have been a 10 out of 10 if the rim was complete all the way around the top but that's the beauty of wood.
You never know what its going to look like until it's finished.  Well turned Les

Sycamore can be (not always of course) a really boring wood and needs something to lift .t, Mo has been painting Pete's, you're just burning the hell out of it, but you make it look so good.
