Blackwood [ Acacia Melanoxylon ] Typhoon 20cm high 15 cm at its largest diameter, finished with several coats of DO then buffed, 6 spirals opening up to 6 feet with voids. This one is for the AWTEX Australian Wood Turning Exhibition in Melbourne later in June.

Hughie,
probably the first piece you've posted that i have not looked at and said, 'That's a Hughie piece'.
I can see you are an Antipodean, you've done the typhoon spiral with a clockwise coriolis spin.
I hope it's well received in the exhibition.
