First time in ages had a few moments to kill so picked up an offcut of Walnut and a short spell on the lathe.
Measures 4" high and 2 3/4" at its widest about 3 or 4mm thick. Finished with sanding sealer then Renaissance wax.

Hi Martin,
I think the dimensions say more Pot than Vase to me but I like the effect that has been created by the way you've cut the wood, leaving the growth wood over the heartwood with the much stronger grain.
