Binh Pho passing
« on: August 24, 2017, 08:58:44 AM »
It is with very much sadness to inform you that I received information this morning that Binh Pho passed away a few days ago.

Only recently met him in Kansas and am very shocked to get the news. My thoughts and wishes are with his family and friends at this very sad time.

Binh was an inspirations to all of us.  He demonstrated at an AWGB Seminar some years ago and I was fortunate to watch his demo.

Rest in peace.

Truly one of the greats, how many of us haven't been influenced by him over the years. A great loss indeed.

Thank you Mark, a sad thing to read, his work took woodtuning in a whole new direction in his desire to express his culture and life experiences as a child growing up in a war torn country.

Binh was a true gentleman. Always willing to talk with you and to share his knowledge. My condolences to his family. May he RIP.

There are more postings of this news on Facebook, World of Woodturners and the AAW, as you would expect on this sad day for woodturning.

I never knew Binh Pho but like most of us here I was familiar with his work. He will be a great loss to the woodturning community.

Sad news indeed the first time I saw him was at the Craft Supplies show when the held it at Blackpool Farm he was making a piece to be auctioned off for the Diana (Princess of Wales) Charity.
