Help with wood ID

I have had a load of wood as can be seen in another post. Some I thought was straight forward Ash but on cutting it the centre seems to be darker unlike all of the Ash I have used in the past. Not having ever used Olive Ash I wondered if this is what I have.
Here is some photo's of a small piece after cleaning it off

What you have there is oak!

I think I must have Ash on the brain should have realised as soon as I saw the rays now I feel a right wally. OK no need for you all to agree.

Are you sure its not dogwood ?
