The second and last lidded Urn turned from an old cat that after lots of help from fellow members was identified as originally being carved from red palm. After turning I applied red and blue acrylic paints and sanded back to bare wood so that paint only remained in the pores of the timber, and finished it with carnauba wax. The lid and finial are finished with ebonising lacquer. I think the surface of the timber resembles that of a strawberry. The piece stands 11.5cm tall and is 7cm at its widest. All c&c welcomed.
