chestnut hollow form

small project tonight with this chestnut hollow form. it is 5x4" in size and finished with Hampshire sheen. all comments welcome.

Hi Dennis....I like the overall form, the curve flows well, but one minor detail that doesn't quite work for me, is the difference in the width of the two gaps between the scorch lines. My eye was immediately drawn to it, which emphasises the joint in the form, when the whole purpose of the lines is surely to mask the joint. I use a set of dividers for this task, to guarantee an even spacing.

Good shape, well finished and nicely presented. A very well thinned stain could have been used to pop the grain but that is only a thought.

Les has noted the joint lines so nothing more to add.
