The company that was recommended to me by the college lecturer was Roche A/V here is their web address:-
 http://www.rocheav.co.uk/special_offers/projector_offers

After speaking to a chap called Mike Heywood who was very helpful and fully understood our requirements we ordered everything.
The delivery came on time with no shortages.
I will keep you posted on how good the stuff is.
(I've already had a play with the amplifier system which nearly made me(more) deaf)

Hi all,
well tonight was the first night at the club using our new A/V kit. I had learnt how to set up the camera and project the image onto the screen,I also learnt how to run the images from the computer and project them aswell. From my previous post you know that I learnt how to use the audio side of things so tonight our vice chairman wanted to show part of a DVD and that is the one thing that I hadn't learnt how to do. I couldn't get any sound from the DVD player to the speaker. I had loads of leads, they just didn't fit any of the holes that were left. So we popped the disc into the computer and projected it and put the wireless mike on the computer speaker and sent that to the amplifier. Not ideal I know but it (sort of) worked. So apart from operator teething troubles (I now intend to write an idiot sheet for setting up) and the need for some longer leads our system is up and running and appears to be exactly what we wanted and probably does more than I have read on the tin! ??? ::)
Don't worry George we will have it all sorted by the time you come to us for your demo :-\
Regards
John BHT
