Not quite disposable but certainly reusable the Dust Bee Gone masks may be of interest George. Turner's retreat stock them I believe. Full details at http://www.dustbeegone.com/dustmask.html
No substitute for a powered respirator for heavy dust conditions but you can talk through them, they fit well over the bridge of your nose and tend not to steam up safety glasses. You can wash them too.
Sorry I can't offer suggestions for true disposable masks for students, I provide powered respirators.
Cheers Rick

The trouble with those Dust bee gone masks is that they don't meet any known filtration standards. They are sold my the manufacturers as "nuisance masks".

If it's FFP3 disposable masks you are looking for, these are reasonably priced https://www.protectivemasksdirect.co.uk/ultimate-valved-fold-flat-disposable-ffp3-masks-pack-of-10-uci-ucf-p3v?gclid=CjwKCAiAqOriBRAfEiwAEb9oXVN-Kl51Y6upjXesVzQr3Qe-QsoR1pyHPdpB-Yrc9zhFD9FbLB25thoCVv0QAvD_BwE

Thanks Paul, I'll give them a try. My experience of disposable formed masks is that they rarely fit the face and if they don't fit the face you may as well use a handkerchief, the filtration/protection rating goes out of the window. This is certainly an issue if you're well endowed in the nose dept.  as I am. The dust bee gone may be a nuisance mask but it does form well to the face and offers claimed protection to 3 microns. I'll order a pack today as you recommend and give them a try.

I use a half mask from B&Q. Been doing a horrible job just lately with loads of dust and fumes and this one seems to do the job well. You might not be able to speak very well when wearing it though, but as I am on my own most of the time that does not seem to matter. Blue in colour, costs about £13 and the filters are £8 each (2 needed)but they do not mist glasses when in use.

I use the 3M fold flat masks available at Screwfix. These are the best disposable masks. No substitute for a powered respirator though, although when fitted properly they do do a good job.

George,
thanks, but they are not for me, I have a powered respirator. I have young Alistair who currently uses disposables, I'm not too impressed with.

I'd like to ensure he's got something that meets regulations.

I used to use disposables - but my powered respirator whilst expensive is a lot better.  Cheaper than new lungs...

It is not that I am too tight it is only a problem when I am teaching.
I have two Air fed helmete 3 Dust extractors and Jet extractor overhead.
If I wear an Air fed when teaching Students would not hear a word I said
I also like to give my Students a decent mask if they want one
