Mystery Lathe

I've been contacted by one of the tree surgeons who supplies me with timber, and he is helping a friend of his to sell a lathe. So far, all I've had is a couple of photos, but there's no maker's name on the pictures. Anyone recognise this?

Looks like an old Poolewood? I jsed to have one that looked a lot like this. Good strong lathes.

Hi Les,

Looks like the Poolewood 28-40 'Superlathe'.  Chris Stott made some woodturning dvds where he uses this lathe.

bodrighywood:
If it is any help when I sold mine I got £200 for it by the way. Depends on whether it has the variable speed or not. It is the lever type by the look of it.
