Open segmented fruit bowl

Fruit bowl made using Pau Amarello, Mahogany, Maple, Padauk, Purple Heart and Wenge. Diameter is 200mm and height is 125mm. Comments alway welcome.

Hi Malcy, What a super piece of Segmented work I think this is one of the best segmented pieces of work I have ever seen in fact it is my favourite of all time.The number of different woods you have used and the planning and patience that it has taken is a credit to you. FABULOUS .Regards John

I can see the amount of work and the care you have taken over this piece.
It is lovely and well worth all the praise that I am sure you will get.
I particularly like the way you have finished off the bottom.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. There are 1156 pieces in all (48 in each of 23 layers plus 4 rings of 12, top and bottom). The base is veneered mdf set as a floating base (like a door panel).
