3 Jaws indicates a metalwork jig, you may have more luck on an engineering forum. Most woodturners switched over to 4 jaws a long time back.

I don’t think Record Power have ever made metalwork chucks? It’s just a rather odd design by modern standards.

Odd and also Old! my reasoning is that the 3 jaw chucks exist in the metal work side and possibly a lug plate would be a recognised term there, while in woodturning that would be pre or just post Peter Childs masterchuck convinced everyone that 4 was better! and I can't remember what the oojimiflip thingy was that I used last month let alone 40 years ago ;)

@David I can't help with your question but where in Spain are you as I am also living there? It would be good to have contact with another British woodturner.

Hi All
Thanks for the reply. Still no luck . narrowed down to it being a One Inch Lug plate and it is shown on the Peter McBride site but that´s 2009..
Is the one inch diameter inside or out? I could have ago at fabricating I suppose. I could work backwards from the place it fits.
Thanks Again. I´ll keep trying
