Spalted Beech, how to stop it rotting further

Ramsgatonion you say lol well I'm not officially a Ramsgatonion being a Londoner but my Son is a Ramsgatonion and yes I live in Ramsgate :) and love it here.
I would like to get to know (and learn from) other woodturners locally in the future.
