JohnHewes:
I have ply or plastic gauges for each of my sets of jaws, never could understand why I have never seen this anywhere else. I still use dividers for marking the end of the job but use the gauge to set the dividers.
So easy to use to set diameters when spindle turning.

Bill21:
I use mainly the C jaws so I just made a jig from polycarbonate. No setting of calipers, I just turn the wood down until the jig fits. I’ve seen other folks do this and they have made as many jigs as needed out of plywood. I should add that following advice from our club demonstrator I’ve gone off internal chucking.

Twisted Trees:
I find a ruler and pencil work just fine, just have to remember the mid point of minimum and maximum and adjust to taste.... Jigs are great, but they become like tape measures and pencils as yet another thing that got put down somewhere!

JohnHewes:
Yes, Bill, just like that.
Hangs on a cup hook above the lathe.
Easy
