Another 2" x 2" Box. For the life of me I can't remember the wood species sure someone will help.

Martin, you've really come back after your time away strong, it's good to see.
Another smart little box nicely turned & finished.
The only wood I can think of with the red growth rings is one of the American Alders but cannot remember which one.

Hi Martin,
lovely little box, I'm just going through the recent postings now and everyone does seem to be busy.
I wonder if the timber is what we used to call "rasberry jam wood" possibly American Tulip?
