Bill21:
SC3 chucks most commonly seem to be sold as direct threaded versions in M33x3.5, 1”x8 and 3/4”x16. BUT, there is mention of an insert type in the Record Power manual. It is rather strange that Record Power didn’t mention this version when the OP asked. It may be the insert version has now been discontinued but it’s well worth checking that the chuck in question has an insert or not. If it does, then as said, it’s simply a matter of buying a new insert.

A picture of the back of the chuck would be useful.  ;)

Edit: did the chuck come with an insert spanner like the SC4?

I wonder if the chuck that has been sold is actually an SC4 with an insert. If that IS the case, all that's needed is a replacement insert. Fingers crossed for that one!!

Note:- both SC3 and SC4 chuck bodies have a grub screw to lock the chuck to either the insert or the headstock. The inserts have their own grub screw.

I know that the sc4 has a hex chuck key like the Nova or Patriot while the SC3 has a gear type of chuck key, if that helps identify. Problem is things evolve and I don't know if the SC3 was always a direct thread only option.

The 2015 (3.2) version of the SC3 & SC4 chuck manual says the the SC3 is direct threaded only. The 2021 (3.6) manual says the SC3 is available as both direct threaded and insert versions. This is the relevant page of the 2021 manual.

Bill21:
Any update on this? Intrigued to know the outcome.  ;D
