Pen and Pencil set
« on: December 14, 2012, 01:08:30 PM »
Pen and Pencil set made without the original Center Bands. The wood used is Oak, which was given to me in a big log that had been laid in someones garden for quite a number of years. The centers are made from plastic. The pen is in two halves while the pencil is all one barrel.

To do the pencil barrel i placed the two tubes on to the center band and then turned the C/B down between centers on the lathe.

Hi Jim an welcome, beautiful post as this is a lovely set, I like them and your WIP as to what you'd done, I know others will ask as to the kits and where you've got them from.

Cheers      David

Thanks guys, the finish is CA, the CB is plastic ... They are plastic sheets with different thickness and glued together.  ;)
