Lovely wood and well turned by the look of it. Not easy turning with that split.

Nice one Ed. The shape really shows off the  grain.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

Ed,

the way you're now handling changes in direction with you turning is coming together.

All I see missing in this is some Pampas Grass sticking out the top.

And I tried you CA finish the other day on a small Purpleheart pot, I'd had enough after that even with a powered respirator, can't even understand how you can do something this big!

thanks all for your comments and dr4g0nfly I tried a powered respirator once never again it just draws in the vapor. It's much better to use a paper dust mask and safety specs.

Ed,

I have masks and goggles, I'll try your method next time - thanks.

Ed... A dust mask is just that ... for DUST not vapour !!  very basic H&S  ,  and the fumes from CA are pretty bad with known problems caused ...

I agree a dust mask is a dust mask and designed for dust protection. But I found that using a basic dust mask is better than encapsulating yourself with a Trend Airflo helmet when using CA as a finish.
