oxalic Acid
« on: July 21, 2015, 07:46:11 AM »
Has anyone tried this on wet turned Holly to remove or stop the grey patches and spots which often occur post the turning process.

I have a nice sized trunk which I wish to use for some hollow forms, but aside from the usual splitting problems that Holly seems to have the patching often spoils a very white wood. I don't want to break into this trunk until I can negate the staining?

Also works great on GRB boats for cleaning rust marks etc.

And it works on sails is quite harmless and should do the job I would think.
